• Active since mid 2016
• Chaired by CFO Lee Howell
• Inauguration of the Joint International Fire Board
• Strategic Stakeholder Group as executive and controlling body
• Marketing Sub-Group also under way
Placing It In Context
• The UK needs to expand its export success
• DIT exists to support UK export growth
• Contributes to ‘Whole of Government effort’
• Fire sector currently exports over £300 m pa
• Significantly increasing this figure appears feasible

• Free market response is paramount; JIFB is not a Project Manager
or Contractor
