KEY MESSAGES
• Aim to reduce waste and recover
more resources by 3% annually for
next 3 years
• Waste is valuable resource
• Waste has an impact on climate change

AIMS/OBJECTIVE
• To see a reduction in the amount of waste (in tonnes)
sent to landfill (target is 65% resource recovery rate by 2018)
• Encourage people to avoid waste, and to reuse and recycle more
• Awareness of environment waste issues and behavior change on
those issues

• Overall campaign success is measured
in week tonnages of waste diverted from
landfill
• Current rate of resource recovery rate in
Delhi
is 33% (target is 67% for 2018)
