Great arena located in ancient Rome, seated 50,000 people.
In ruins today. One of the most recognizable landmarks. (pg. 7)

FOOTNOTES
If this long strand of text is part of my essay about dogs, cats, unicorns and rainbows,
the proper format for in-text citations would to use a superscript number at the end
of the sentence, as I have done here.1
The proper format would also include either a footnote at the bottom of the page.
The first time a source is cited, the full version of the citation must be included.2
Afterwards, a shortened version of just the source’s title is acceptable.
This is easily done in Microsoft Word.3
