You must bring with you or submit copies of the following current forms:
Vehicle Registration - Driver’s License - Proof of Residency
Accepted documents for proof of residency are:
-Real Estate Tax Bill
-Lease Agreement
-Voter ID Card
- Utlity Bill
-Three pieces of mail with current address.
Accepted forms of Payment: Cash or Check

To purchase your permit(s) by mail, you will need to complete and submit the attached application
and provide photo copies of all required items listed above. Please include the quantity and type of
permit you are requesting as well as a phone number you can be reached at during business hours if
we have any questions about your request. Also include a self-addressed stamped envelope so we can
mail the permit(s) back to you. Please do not send cash through the mail. Make all checks payable to
the City of St. Pete Beach for the exact amount of your permit(s). Please allow approximately two
weeks to receive your permits by US Mail.
Please note that all permits issued are only valid in the city limits of St. Pete Beach and that none of
the parking permits issued by this city are valid for parking in the Pinellas County Park located at
4700 Gulf Blvd.

Parking Permits
A Parking Permit (Hang Tag Not vehicle assigned)
The “A” Parking Permit is issued to both residents and business owners in the Pass-A-Grille area of St.
Pete Beach. To qualify for an “A” Permit the individual property owner must meet certain zoning
regulations. Motel and hotel owners without ample off-street parking are also eligible to purchase these
permits. The A permits are accepted at all metered and pay station parking spaces south of 32nd Ave. and
are valid for the calendar year in which they were issued. The cost for this annual permit is $20.00.
B Parking Permit (Decal assigned to vehicle)
The “B” Parking Permit: Both residents and non-residents are eligible to purchase these permits. They
are valid for the calendar year in which they were purchased and are valid at all metered and pay station
spaces with the EXCEPTION OF THE COUNTY PARK located at 4700 Gulf Blvd. These decals must
be permanently affixed to the rear of the vehicle. The cost for this permit varies: for residents of SPB an
annual permit is $20.00, for non SPB residents an annual permit is $125.00. We also offer a day pass
that is $12.00 a day. Those who work in Pass-A-Grille or for employers fronting Beach Plaza but do not
live on SPB can get an annual employee pass for $25.00 (proof of current employment required).
B Parking Permit (Non Metered Hanging Pass- Not vehicle assigned)
The “Non Metered B” Parking Permit is issued to eligible residents who live in areas designated
for controlled ‘B Permit required” parking zones. The Non Metered “B” Permit is not valid at
parking meters or pay stations. The cost for a monthly Non Metered “B” hanging pass is $3.00.
D Parking Permit (Decal assigned to vehicle)
The “D” Parking Permit is issued to eligible residents in the Pass-A-Grille area who live in
areas designated for controlled parking, and whose surrounding streets are controlled by parking
meters or pay stations. These decals must be permanently affixed to the rear of the vehicle. The cost
for an annual decal permit is $5.00 or a monthly hanging pass at $3.00.
E Parking Permit (Hang Tag Not vehicle assigned)
The “E” Parking Permit is similar to the “A” Permit and is issued to residents in the Sunset Way
and Beach Plaza area of St. Pete Beach. To qualify for an “E” Permit the individual property /
business owner must meet certain zoning regulations. Motel and hotel owners without ample offstreet parking are also eligible to purchase these permits. The permits are accepted at metered
parking spaces as well as restricted side street parking in the Sunset Way and Beach Plaza areas in
the northern section of the city. These permits are valid for the calendar year in which they were
purchased. The cost for an annual permit is $20.00.
Specialty Permits
The Community Development Department also offers a number of “Specialty Permits”. These permits
are temporary in nature and allow for parking in restricted “D” and Non-Metered “B” areas, at meter
and pay stations, and while using the Merry Pier facilities as well as a number of other circumstance.
