EFFECTIVE WINTER 2016 NEW MAJOR BACHELOR OF ARTS DEGREE IN MATHEMATICAL ECONOMICS The purpose of this program is to provide rigorous training in mathematics and economics for students whose career goals require a high level of technical proficiency in these subjects. The program should greatly benefit students who intend to pursue a career immediately after graduation in economic analysis, statistics, finance, operations research, underwriting or actuarial science, or do graduate work in economics, finance or applied mathematics.
