Team Bags
All teams will be able to collect their Team Bags at Event Control from 7:30am on the opening day of competition.
These will contain scoresheets for all matches, garbage bags, a primary care lanyard, 1 x draw and vital information
relating to the competition.
Team Managers Meeting
A Team Managers meeting will occur on the first day of the championships following the opening ceremony.
Announcements will be made on where this will take place at the conclusion of the ceremony. It is a requirement at
least one (1) representative from each Association is present for this meeting.
Athlete Village
A designated athlete village will be set up for each team free of charge on the Show Court at Genea Netball Centre.
Each area will be clearly marked with Association names. Netball NSW can supply 1 x round table for each area if
requested; teams are required to advise Netball NSW prior to the opening day. Chairs will not be supplied by
Netball NSW; Associations may bring their own for use in their designated areas.
Teams are responsible for their own property, therefore Netball NSW advises not to leave any valuables
unattended in the athlete village.
This area will be for teams only. No spectators or guests.
Catering
Teams can pre-order catering through Genea Netball Centre’s The Huddle Café for Saturday and Sunday; to order,
please contact North (The Huddle Café) to discuss directly. Orders must be placed by 5:00pm, Tuesday 16 May –
menu available here.

Food is able to be brought into the venue however NO Commercial food will be allowed.
Ice
5kg bags of ice are available for purchase through Netball NSW at the cost of $4.00 per bag for team eskies only.
There are strictly no Ice Bath facilities available for teams to utilise at Genea Netball Centre.
Netball NSW will place ice orders as indicated on your team ice request form. Payment is required prior to delivery.
Credit card payment will be accepted. Orders must be placed by 5:00pm Tuesday 16 May – see order form available
here.
Match Balls
Match balls will be supplied by Netball NSW for each game of the Championship. These will be marked and left in
the centre of each court for competition use.

Warm-up and / or training netballs are the responsibility of each individual team.
Parking
Team Bus parking will be available at Coach Pod B and C in Sydney Olympic Park.
1 x vehicle (bus) per team will be provided free of charge parking onsite within Coach Pod B. This is located on the
corner of Edwin Flack Ave and Uhrig Road (entry from Edwin Flack). Buses can park here during the event with the
drop off/pick up of teams to occur outside Genea Netball Centre on Olympic Boulevard. Please contact Shannon
Booth [email protected] by 5:00pm Tuesday 16 May if you require bus parking. No late requests will be
accepted.
Athletes/Officials/Umpire Parking
Any athletes, officials or umpires taking part in the competition who do not travel on a team bus will be required to
park in the P3 car park, opposite Genea Netball Centre on Olympic Boulevard (entry via Sarah Durack Avenue). P3
Parking will be available at a flat rate of $6 per day, and is strictly valid to all players, officials and umpires only.
Those who park in P3 will be required to validate their car park ticket at the Genea Netball Centre reception before
they leave each day. P3 car park validation is not available to spectators.
Spectator Parking
Spectators are advised that the P3 and P4 car parks are the most convenient, located next to Genea Netball Centre.
P3 is located on Sarah Durack Avenue and P4 is on the corner of Edwin Flack and Sarah Durack Avenues (entry via
Sarah Durack Ave). Pricing is $5 per hour, to a maximum of $25 per day.
Photography
Netball NSW will have a photographer on site for the second and final day of competition. Teams are asked not to
request team photos etc while the photographer is working. Should a team require a copy of presentation photos,
the Association Secretary is asked to contact the Netball NSW Communications Team directly via email:
[email protected].
Seating arrangements
Spectators will be able to sit in the seats/stands inside Genea Netball Centre located at each court. Please refer to
the ‘Items Permitted in Venue’ information sheet for further information. Genea Netball Centre Venue Conditions

There will be complimentary venue entry fee for all spectators, players, officials and umpires into the Genea Netball
Centre for the 2017 Bing Lee State Championship Masters
Welcome
There will be no Parade of Districts at the 2017 Bing Lee State Championship Masters, however, an Opening
Ceremony will commence at 8.15am on Saturday 20 May. Teams may be able to warm up on courts 2-5 from
8:30am.
Closing
The last game on Sunday 21 May will occur at 3:42pm (finish 4.07pm). The Presentations will commence at
approximately 4.30pm
Competition format
The Over 35’s and Over 40’s will play in the Division as they have entered.
The Over 35’s will play each team in the Division twice, a total of 16 games over the 2 days, with a bye occurring on each
day.

The Over 40’s will play each team in the Division twice, a total of 12 games over the 2 days, with a bye occurring on each
day.
Points from ALL games will be counted on the competition ladder.
The Winner and Runner Up for each age group will be the two highest-ranked teams on the competition ladder at the
end of Day 2.
