Posting - Head Coach season 2016/17

Ormstown Saracens RFC is currently accepting applications for Head Coaches for our Senior
Men’s and Women’s Teams for the 2016-17 season. Our women’s team finished in 1st place in
the Quebec Rugby League’s 1st division and are the reigning Quebec 7s champions; our men’s
team finished 1st in their division and are also the 2015 reigning Quebec 7s champions.
The coach for each team will report to their respective Director and will be responsible for
recruitment, development and establishing a selection process for each match and/or
tournament.
Each coach will be responsible for their own team and can appoint assistant coaches with the
approval from their director.
A stipend is paid to each coach.
Although a small club, we pride ourselves on our friendliness and our social cohesion. Our
objective is to develop our players to realise their rugby objectives, whatever these may be,
through good coaching and mutual support.
We currently run two senior teams and a full complement of mini and junior teams.
Specific responsibilities will include:
o To promote and encourage player commitment to the Ormstown Saracens Rugby Club
and to its respective teams
o Attendance at winter and pre-season training
o Attendance at scheduled practices during the season
o Availability for league games
o Participation in off-field Club activities

Essential Qualifications:

NCCP Level 2 Certification
IRB/World Rugby “Rugby Ready” Certification
Positive and encouraging leadership and interaction with team coaches and athletes
Experience working with senior rugby teams
Track record of player potential identification and development
Term: April 2016 to March 2017 with option of renewal for 2017 rugby season
