SUBJECT: Salary Ordinance to add two Information Systems Analyst II/I positions
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Adoption of Salary Ordinance No. NS-5.16.123 amending Santa Clara County Salary
Ordinance No. NS-5.16 relating to compensation of employees, deleting one Senior Database
Administrator or Database Administrator position and adding two Information Systems
Analyst II or Information Systems Analyst I positions in the Information Services
Department.
• Action to Introduce and Preliminarily adopt on March 22, 2016; Roll Call Vote to waive reading, Roll
Call Vote to adopt.
• Action for Final Adoption on April 12, 2016; Roll Call Vote to adopt.

CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION
The Information Services Department may need to rely on extra help, contractors or
unclassified staff to provide adequate support to core applications, which in turn increases
training time due to turnover.
STEPS FOLLOWING APPROVAL
The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors is requested to send MinuteTraq notification of
completed processing to Kent Mitchell of the Information Services Department and Staci
Bjerk of the Employee Services Agency, Human Resources.
