Project
description
We are looking for 3 volunteers (one from one country) for this project which
aims to create dialogue between different cultures by developing
organisational, personal and executional skills and competences with various
methods of non-formal learning. Additional goals are to experience learning on
personal, communal and on organisational level. The project’s intention is to
develop communicational skills, and to share the gathered information and
experience in the framework of non-formal learning methods. The project
focuses on the interaction not just between cultures, but between people with
different ages as well.
Volunteers’
tasks
The main tasks will be organising, preparing and leading creative programmes
in kindergartens and elderly’s homes. These events include leading activities
like mutual painting with the children and the elderly, teaching traditional
songs and poems related to the volunteers’ culture.

Volunteers’
profile
We are looking for enthusiastic, open-minded and communicative volunteers
who are willing to share their cultures by artistic activities such as painting with
children and old people, singing and learning poems together. Additionally, the
tasks include preparing, leading and coordinating the events with the
assistance of the coordinator.
You are our volunteer if you …
 are child centered
 understand elderly more than well
 want to share your culture with others by using non-formal learning
methods
 have artistic talent (willing to paint, sing, tell stories and poems)
 can play any musical instrument
 have experience in coping with children and old people
 have experience in promotional activities
Your hosting
organisation 
Talentum Foundation’s mission is to preserve and maintain the culture,
practice and value of voluntary services, and usually organises promotional and
informative events and activities to raise awareness and to show how
volunteering looks like in action. Talentum has several strong connections with
kindergartens and elderly homes as our Foundation usually organises thematic
voluntary events at those places.
Szeged is waiting for you!

The project is located in Szeged, very close to the Serbian and Romanian border and 160km from
Budapest. It is one of the most developed towns of Hungary with approx. 160.000 inhabitants.
Szeged is also called the city of sunshine with Mediterranean feeling, youthful atmosphere due to
the 30 thousand students in town. Besides its good location and safety it has lot to offer and

Additional important information
We will provide a flat near the city centre with two separate rooms (one with a simple bed and one
with 2 beds) and mutual kitchen and bathroom. Tickets of public transport, food costs and pocket
money will be provided as well according to the regulations of the Erasmus +. If the volunteers
should travel to another town due to their work, all the travelling and additional costs will be paid.
The office functions as the main workstation, and has internet connection and mutual kitchen. After
the selection process and former arrangements, Talentum will purchase the plane ticket. CIGNA
insurance will be effected by the sending organisation. Accident-ticket should be fixed by the
volunteer.
