Travel Information for Training at
PerkinElmer's Shelton Facility
If you are arriving to our site via hotel shuttle, please proceed to the top of the hill, and advise the driver to drop you o ff
at our 24-hour security lobby, parking lot #3.
Please enter the building through the security lobby, where you will sign in an d be provided a customer training badge.
You will be asked to sign in each morning and to turn in your badge each evening as per PerkinElmer Security Policy.
Training badges will allow customers only to use our cafeteria (at no charge) for breakfast and l unch each day.
There will be a place card on the tables towards the back of the cafeteria containing your course name. You will be
greeted in the cafeteria, and escorted to your classroom on the first day of class.
Please be advised PerkinElmer Security forbids customers from entering the building beyond our cafeteria on the first
day of training.
Customers and first time visitors must be escorted into the building on the first day of class.
Regarding Customer Training Courses:
Shelton, CT classes run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.
Dress is business casual.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided for you.
For safety reasons, shorts, sandals, canvas and open-toed shoes are not permitted.
Transportation
-- DO NOT TAKE YELLOW CAB/TAXI TO SHELTON--THIS WILL COST OVER $300.00 USD.-*Please note, flights into Newark may be less expensive, however you will need to hire a private car (which is over $180.00 USD
one way), or you will need to pick up a rental car.
We do NOT have any public transportation from Newark to Shelton.

Directions
From LaGuardia Airport:
Follow Exit Airport signs to Grand Central Parkway East, which leads to the Van Wyck Expressway to Whitestone Expressway
which runs into Whitestone Bridge. Cross bridge and continue on the Hutchinson River Parkway. The Hutchinson River Parkway
(Route 15) will turn into the Merritt Parkway at the Connecticut state line. Follow the Merritt Parkway North to Exit 52, Route 8
North to Exit 12. Turn left and go to 2nd light. Turn left onto Bridgeport Avenue. 1st left is PerkinElmer, proceed to Parking Lot #3.
From Kennedy Airport:
Follow Van Wyck Expressway to Whitestone Expressway which runs into Whitestone Bridge. Directions from this point are the
same as from LaGuardia Airport.
From Westchester Airport:
Ask at tollgate for road to King Street, Route 120A. Turn right on King Street. Continue about three miles to Merritt Parkway East
(Route 15). Take Merritt Parkway to Exit 52, Route 8 North to Exit 12. Turn left and go to 2nd light. Turn left onto Bridgeport
Avenue. 1st left is PerkinElmer, proceed to Parking Lot #3.
From Windsor-Bradley Airport:
Take I-91 South through Hartford, take Exit 28 for Berlin/Wilbur Cross Parkway (Route 15)(3.8 miles). Berlin Turnpike becomes
Wilbur Cross Parkway which becomes the Merritt Parkway. Follow Merritt Parkway to Exit 52, Route 8 North, to Exit 12. Turn left
and go to 2nd light. Turn left onto Bridgeport Avenue. 1st left is PerkinElmer, proceed to Parking Lot #3.
Alternate Routes from Bradley Airport:
Route 91: Follow I-91 southbound to I-95 (New Haven). Take Exit 38 for Merritt & W. Cross Parkways, move to left lane (Merritt
Pkwy/NYC South). Take Exit 52, Route 8, bear right for Waterbury and continue as above.
Route 84: Take I-91 South Take Exit 32A, I-84 West -- Waterbury. Follow I-84 13 miles to Waterbury to Exit 19 (this is a left-hand
exit) Route 8 South. Continue down Route 8 and take Exit 12, bear right off ramp onto Old Stratford Road go to first light and
turn left onto Bridgeport Ave. Turn left at next light into PerkinElmer, proceed to Parking lot #3.
From Hartford:
I-91 southbound and follow directions from Windsor-Bradley Airport.
From Boston:
Take Massachusetts Turnpike. Watch for US Route 15//Hartford Sign. Take I-91 south to Wilbur Cross Parkway (Route 15) and
follow directions from Windsor-Bradley Airport.
From New Jersey:
Cross Tappan Zee Bridge. Watch for New England signs to Cross Westchester Parkway, I-287 East. Directions from this point are
the same as from NYC.
From Long Island:
Take parkways to Whitestone Bridge. Cross bridge and follow directions from LaGuardia Airport.
From New York City:
Follow Major Deegan Expressway, US Route 87, into New York Thruway. Watch for signs for Cross Westchester Parkway, I-287
East, then for Exit 9S-N, which will take you to the Hutchinson River/Merritt Parkways North (Route 15). Follow Merritt Parkway
to Exit 52, Route 8 North to Exit 12. Turn left and go to 2nd light. Turn left onto Bridgeport Avenue. 1st left is PerkinElmer,
proceed to Parking Lot #3.
From Newburgh:
Travel East on 84. Take Exit 11 (Rt. 34) go approx. 15 miles through the center of Derby. Take Route 8 South to Exit 12, bear right
off ramp onto Old Stratford Road, go to first light and turn left onto Bridgeport Ave. Turn left at next light into PerkinElmer,
proceed to Parking lot #3.
From New Haven:
Take I-95 South to Milford Exit 38, Milford Parkway, which leads to the Merritt Parkway (Route 15), entrance #57. Follow the
Merritt South to Exit 52, Route 8 North to Exit 12. Turn left and go to 2nd light. Turn left onto Bridgeport Avenue. 1st left is
PerkinElmer then proceed to Parking Lot #3.Route 84: Take I-91 South Take Exit 32A, I-84 West -- Waterbury. Follow I-84 13
miles to Waterbury to Exit 19 (this is a left-hand exit) Route 8 South. Continue down Route 8 and take Exit 12, bear right off
ramp onto Old Stratford Road go to first light and turn left onto Bridgeport Ave. Turn left at next light into PerkinElmer, proceed
to Parking lot #3.
