Let*s go to New-York! Our travel diary.

We go to the U.S.A in NewYork and we visit a lot of
things. This is our Travel book.
New-York City is in the Northeast
of the United States of America.
When we arrive at the
airport we take a
taxi. Then we go in the
hotel where we ca sleep
to recover from the jet
lag (8 hours!!).
The taxis of NewYork are yellow.
The taxi is
unoccupied when the
light is on.
In the morning we
wake up at 6:00 and
we take a taxi to take
the ferry and we go to
see Lady Liberty.
Then we climbed up to
its top and took
pictures from the
torch!
Lady Liberty is on Liberty Island in the
south west of New-York.
It was built in 1886 in France by
Gustave Eiffel and Auguste Bartholdi. It
was offered to the U.S.A to celebrate
the first centenary of the Declaration of
Independence. It is 101.37 yards high.
We take a taxi at 8:00 to go to
Central park. It is in the west of New
York, in Manhattan island. We stay all
the day to picnic.
Central Park was created in 1857
because the inhabitants wanted a
green space in their town.
It was created by Frederick Law
Olmsted and Calvert Vaux two
American landscapers and
architects. When the park was
built there was a lot of rocks and
swamps, there were many
inhabitants too who were evicted.
We take the
underground and we
go to Manhattan
island to see the
Museum of Art and
Design.
We can see many
sculptures and
pieces of furniture
but we can see
paintings too.
We take the bus to go in Manhattan
district, in the Midtown block to the
number 350 of the fifth avenue to
see the Empire State Building.
We take the elevator up to the top
of the 102 floors of this building.
It measures 491 yards and it has
got a basement.
Its building started in 1929 and
it was opened to the public on
May 1st 1931. It is part of the
world’s New Seven Wonders, and
it faced up to an attack in 2001.
It is the last day! So we go
and see a musical in
Broadway. The block is in the
south-east of Manhattan.
Broadway is the oldest avenue of
the city. It is the most visited
avenue of Manhattan. There are
many theatres and cabarets.
