Events, activities and attractions in the parks

Events, activities and attractions in the
parks and countryside of Leeds
SPRING
SUMMER
2017
Welcome
Welcome to the spring-summer edition of Out
and About. This leaflet is produced by Leeds
City Council’s Parks and Countryside Service
to give you a taste of what’s going on at our
sites from April – September 2017.
The events and activities featured in the leaflet
provide a range of entertainment designed to
help you make the most of the great outdoors
this spring and summer. Don’t miss the ‘Bands
in the Park’ concerts that take place on Sunday
afternoons in parks all around the city. And we
have some fantastic events taking place at our
estates, including an opportunity to time travel
at Temple Newsam and an Alice in Wonderland
themed Easter at Lotherton! We’re also really
excited about an exhibition on the past, present
and future of parks that will be held at the
Mansion in Roundhay park in May. And then
there’s the wildlife-themed events... whatever your
interest, there’s definitely something for you in this
programme!
Because there isn’t much room in the leaflet, we
can’t list every event that’s taking place so, to keep
in touch, follow us on twitter @leedsparks or
facebook ‘Leedsparks’. There’s also some great
events featured at www.whatson.leeds.gov.uk and
www.loveparks.org.
