This will include the overarching problem that the venture will solve. This box is not really part of the canvas as it is not part of the business model that needs to be validated. These (Vision/Goals/Values) need to be in place before starting on the rest of the canvas as they will act as guiding principles for the social entrepreneur. Note this includes specific problems faced by the customers (in customer segments) not the overarching problems that arise in Vision/Goals/Values What solution will deliver the UVP for the different customer segments? Key metrics What key numbers tell you how the business in doing? Existing alternatives How are these problems currently being solved? Cost structures How much will cost to deliver your solution to your customers? What single or multiple value propositions deliver a solution to the problems faced by the different customer segments? Why will this venture succeed? High Level Concept How will you will reach and deliver your product/service to your customers in a scalable way? A one-liner explaining what your org does Channels Who do you have to move in order for this business to work? This may include: Users - Customers Investors/funders Volunteers etc. Early adopters Who will be first to take up your product? Financial sustainability What is your model for financial sustainability? 1. Traditional Revenue Model - customers paying for your product/service, ongoing donations etc 2. Funding model - individuals or organisations contributing capital (also include the ownership structure of the proposed venture) Social/Environmental Benefit Assumptions about what social benefit will result and who the beneficiaries are. Including defined metrics for how it will be measured.
