RULES AND REGULATIONS
To Protect the Health, Safety and Welfare of All, PLEASE observe the following rules:
Handlers must be eighteen (18) years or older.
Handler is limited to a maximum of two (2) dogs.
Dogs must be on leash when entering and exiting the off-leash dog area.
All dogs must be legally licensed and vaccinated. The use of heartworm and tick
prevention products is highly recommended.
Puppies under four (4) months of age are not permitted in the park. Puppies over four
(4) months of age must have full immunization to utilize the park.
Female dogs in heat and dogs that are sick are prohibited in the park.
No balls smaller than a tennis ball are allowed.
Toys are not provided. If you bring toys, please remember to take them with you when
you leave.
Handlers must immediately clean up after their dogs. Please deposit all waste in the
trash cans provided.
In case of emergency please call 911.
Please utilize the dog park in a responsible manner at all times. People/dogs that
violate these rules will be asked to leave.
Users of this facility do so at their own risk. The Town of Oxford will not be liable for any
injury or damage caused by any dog under any circumstances.
The owner/handler of any dog assumes all legal and financial liability for damages
suffered by anyone who is bitten or injured by their dog while utilizing the dog park.
Dogs must be under the control of and in view of their handlers at all times. Always
have a leash available and ready for use as may be required. No unattended dogs are
permitted in the dog park at any time.
Aggressive dogs are prohibited in the dog park. Please remove your dog if it becomes
hostile, out of control, or barks excessively. Owners/handlers are responsible for the
actions of their dogs.
Closely monitor un-neutered dogs at all times.
Prong, choke, or spiked collars are prohibited on the dogs while in the play area.
Children 10 years and under are not allowed in the dog park. Children over 10 years of
age are permitted but must be accompanied by an adult.
Please prevent your dog from digging any holes and fill them back in if necessary.
No food, alcohol, tobacco, rawhides or glass containers. Training “treats” are allowed.
No animals other than dogs shall be permitted in the dog park.
Professional dog trainers and/or groomers are not permitted to conduct their business
at the park.
Be courteous and respectful as dogs and handlers enter the area by not congregating at
the entrance.
Excessive barking is prohibited. Dogs barking continuously or uncontrollably must be
removed from the area immediately.
The dog park may not be open if a scheduled organization wants to use the area for a
baseball game. To schedule another event for the area, please e-mail
