Mothers’day. Preparing for assembly. Making mothers’ day cards.
Painting pictures of mums and writing about them. Learning play and songs.
Introduction to Shakespeare Week – dressing up day.
We will talk about night time and going to sleep, and about what dreams
we have had.
This will be an introduction to then looking at ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream.’
We will focus on the different characters and an overview of the story.
We will also make up our own magic dream story during Big Talk.
Preparing for Songfest - Bring in a special toy and tell your friends about it.
Why is it special?
In the Creative Area we will make props – crowns, wings and wands.
We will set up a stage outside, and the children will put on their own plays.
We will think about magic, and make up our own magic spells.

At the end of this learning challenge, we will dress up and put on a play – our
own version of Midsummer Night’s Dream. Children will take on the roles of
different characters, acting out a scene each.

Writing a recount about our dreams.
