What are dreams made of? Who is special to you? Pre-learning. Who is special to you? Why are they special? How do people show they love us? Read ‘Guess How Much I Love You.’ Thinking about our mums and what they do for us. What is special about your mum? What do you love doing together? How can we say thank-you? Mothers’day. Preparing for assembly. Making mothers’ day cards. Painting pictures of mums and writing about them. Learning play and songs. Introduction to Shakespeare Week – dressing up day. We will talk about night time and going to sleep, and about what dreams we have had. This will be an introduction to then looking at ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream.’ We will focus on the different characters and an overview of the story. We will also make up our own magic dream story during Big Talk. Preparing for Songfest - Bring in a special toy and tell your friends about it. Why is it special? In the Creative Area we will make props – crowns, wings and wands. We will set up a stage outside, and the children will put on their own plays.
