The Holiday Inn is located at the intersection of 7th Street (on the south side) and
Kellogg Blvd. on the east side. The hotel has two ‘wings’ an east/west and
north/south. The hotel has eight stories. The first floor has the hotel registration
desk, swimming pool and fitness center, The Liffey (Irish Pub). Floors 2-8 are guest
rooms.
When the shuttle/vehicle drops you off at the hotel, it will be in a circular drive that
enters from Kellogg Blvd on the east side. You will be the vehicle you will enter
from the north door and there are two sets of doors. Once inside you will be near a
small lobby that will be on your left (east). It is a tiled floor. Directly in front of your
(south) is an exit to 7th Street - door is locked 11:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. and room key
is required to enter. The ‘slot’ is to the right of the door on the outside. To your
right (west) is a hallway (intermittent carpet) that goes to The Liffey (Pub). Turn
left to enter the lobby and on your right (south) will be the registration desk. There
is a carpet in front of the registration desk. To your left (north) directly across from
the hotel registration desk are the main elevators (2). On the east side of the lobby is
a north/south hallway that has administrative office and the swimming pool at the
north end of the hall and the fitness center on the right (east) wall just before
swimming pool. On the east side of the lobby and south end of the hallway is a third
elevator that faces toward the two main elevators and may respond when elevators
are ‘called’.
Elevator
There are three elevators – two (car 1 [left] and car 2 [right]) on the north side of
the hotel lobby across from the registration desk and one (car 3) on the east side of
the lobby. The call button is located between the two elevators across from the
registration desk and the inside panel is for car #1:

Guest Floors
As you exit the elevators on each floor the elevator lobby is at the junction of the
north/south and east/west hallway. If you are in either of the two elevators (car 1
or 2) across from the hotel registration desk) as you exit the east/west hallway
(room numbers XX01 – XX19) will be to your right and the north/south hallway
room numbers XX21 to XX30) will be to your left (east) and left again (north). If you
are in car 3 as you exit – the north/south hallway will be to your right and the
east/west hallway will be to your left.
With the exception of the 8th floor that has meeting room/suites the basic number
pattern of the rooms are – odd numbers XX01 to XX19 on the south (left) side
starting at the west end of the east/west hallway and even numbers XX02 to XX18
on your right (north side). XX19 immediately to the left of elevator #3 and across
the elevator lobby from elevators 1&2 and XX18 is the first door on the right.
In the north/south hallway the odd numbers XX21 to XX29 are on the left (west)
side and XX20 to XX30 are on the right (east side). Room XX20 is immediately to the
right of elevator #3.
Vending – Ice machines are located at the north end of the north/south hallway, and
vending (sodas $2.00) are located at the west end of the east/west hallway.
Emergency Stairs
Located at the end of the north/south hallway (XX19 to XX30), last door on the right
and the last door on the left at the west end of the east/west hallway (XX18 to XX01)
Guest Rooms
Guest rooms will be singles (Kings) or doubles (Queens). The Key slot is a vertical
insert above the lever handle. The bathroom is located on the wall (behind the
open) door. If the room is a single there will be a nightstand (with drawer) on both
sides of the bed with the telephone (see description at end) on the side closest to the
outside wall. Both nightstands will have a lamp. If the room is a double there is one
nightstand with a phone and lamp. The lamps have power outlets on the base for
charging phones. There are toggle switches on the base of the lamp.
Across from the bed is a ‘dresser that has a 32 inch flat screen TV (remote on top of
‘dresser - see description at end) on top and to the side is a coffee maker. On the left
side of the ‘dresser’ the first shelf has a microwave and two drawers below for
clothes. On the right side of the ‘dresser’ is a refrigerator. In the corner of the room
next to the outside wall is a desk with a lamp that has two power outlets on the base.
There is a toggle switch on the base for the lamp. If the room is a single (King) there
will be a chair in the corner and a desk next to the bed.
Curtains – there are two sets of curtains – blackout closest to the window and sheers
on the inside of the room. Housekeeping will usually open the curtains during the
day when the room is refreshed.
Closet – located on the wall behind the open door. There is no door on the closet.
There is an iron on the top shelf and iron board on one side of the closet and a
folding (removable) luggage rack at the bottom. Next to the closet is the door to the
bathroom.
Bathroom
The door to the bathroom opens into the bathroom and the tub will be behind the
door. The toilet is located inside the door, opposite of the tub. The toilet paper
dispenser (2) is on the wall closest to the door. On the opposite side of the toilet is
the sink that extends away from the wall, as the toilet is somewhat ‘set-back.’ And
the sink counter top extends over the top of the toilet tank. The flush mechanism is
located on the top left corner face of the tank.
On the sink counter top above the toilet is a tray with shampoo, conditioner, body
lotion (all in bottles the same shape and size and pretty much same aroma) and
mouthwash. There are 2 glasses with paper caps and on the opposite side of the
sink is a soap tray with soap.
The spigot on the sink has a single lever on top of the sink (at the 6:00 o’clock
position) that is raised for ‘on’ and left is hot and right is cold. The ‘stopper’ is a pull
lever behind the handle. The trashcan is located below the sink.
The water control in the tub is on the same wall as the door about 30 inches above
the tub and above the water spigot. It is a level (at the 12:00/6:00 o’clock position)
that turns counter clockwise. To activate the shower, pull the tab on top of the
water spigot.
The shower curtain has an outer curtain and a liner.
Towels are located on the wall opposite of the door – between the sink and tub on a
shelf (about 6 feet). Bath towels are on the top shelf and hand towels/wash cloths
on a rail below.

Thermostat
Located in the unit near the outside wall. The control panel is on the right side on
the front face of the unit. You may ask Bell Service to set the temperature for you
but the controls are
Left side top down: Heat – Cool – Off
Center - Raise temperature/ lower temperature
Right side - Fan - top down: High, Low Auto
Restaurant – The Liffey (Irish Pub) theliffey.com/
The Liffey Irish Pub is located on the first (ground) floor under the east/west
hallway. From the hotel lobby (registration desk –turn left [west], elevators #1 &
#2 – turn right, [west], elevator #3 – turn left [west} and cross the tiled hall (to your
right (north) to the circular drive entrance, to your left (south) 7th Street exit) and
continue west. The hallway before the restaurant has tall tables/chairs on your
right (north) and low chairs/table on your left (south). The floor is tile but there are
intermittent rugs along the path of travel. As you enter the restaurant the floor
changes from tile to wood. The host/hostess stand is on your left. In a straight line
(west) from the door is the east end of a horseshoe shaped bar. There are
tables/chairs and booths on both north and south sides of the bar. On the north side
of the restaurant (parallel to the hallway coming into the bar) is a dining room that
can only be accessed through the restaurant. The host/hostess will be glad to assist
in seating and wait/service staff will be glad to assist in leaving the restaurant.
Restrooms
As you first enter the hallway, on your left (south) is a short hallway to the Men’s
Restroom. Inside the door on the opposite wall are sinks and turn right (west) to
locate urinals and stalls – both auto-flushing. At the end of the hallway before
entering the restaurant (wood floor) on your left (south) is the Women’s restroom.
Inside the door on the opposite wall is sinks and turns left (east) to locate stalls
(auto-flushing).
Swimming Pool/Fitness Center
The swimming pool and fitness enter are located on the first floor at the north end
of the north/south hallway off of the hotel lobby. Both require guest room key
access.
Swimming Pool – as you enter the pool will be directly in front. There is an
approximate 10-foot deck around the pool. To the left (west) are steps that lead
down in the shallow end – 3 foot 3 inches and on the opposite side the pool is 4 feet.
On the right (east) side the pool if 5 feet deep and there is a ladder to get into the
pool.
On the left (west) side of the pool on the far (north) wall is a heated whirlpool that
has step on the south side.
Fitness Center – located at the last door on the right (east) at the north end of the
hallway. Inside on the left (north) wall is a water station and weight scale. On the
opposite wall (east) from the door from left to right are 2 treadmills, 2 elliptical
machines and 2 more treadmills. On the wall to the right (south) of the door are two
universal weight/resistant stations.
