NO SMOKING IN SCHOOLS OR ON SCHOOL GROUNDS
1- All players will play two full uninterrupted quarters - one in each half-in each regular season game with the following exceptions:
a- a player may be limited to one quarter of play by the coach if he/she misses a practice unexcused
b-a player may be limited to one quarter if they arrive at the game after the 2nd quarter has begun.
c- discipline problems may limit playing time.
Coaches not playing a player two full quarters must notify the league director and opposing coach.
2- NO player may enter into four quarters unless a team has less than 7 players present.
If that occurs, the opposing coach may choose the player/players to play in all 4 quarters.
3- In overtime, coaches may play the players of their choice.
4- Players should arrive 30 minutes before the scheduled playing time, in case of early start.
5- 10-11 league can press the last quarter of the game, unless they have a 15 point lead
6- All leagues are allowed three time outs per game and one additional for each overtime.
7- Six minute quarters.
8- The 10-11 league play on 10 foot goals and use a 28.5 inch ball.
9- All players must wear their ABA jersey and shorts. Shirts must be tucked in and no sag look allowed.
Players not following these rules will sit out.
10- Parents you are responsible for getting your child to games and practices. Do not leave brothers, sisters, friends
at the practices and games unless you stay with them and supervise them. They are NOT allowed to
run around in the gym or school. They MUST sit in the stands with you. DO NOT bring basketballs into the gym.
Parents should help supervise the halls and bathrooms during games and practices.
11- To continue using the gyms, we must leave them as clean or cleaner than we found them.
NO food or drinks should be brought into gyms. We ask ALL parents to pick up in the stands when your game is over.
12- All-Star teams will be selected in most leagues at the end of the season. Criteria for voting includes:
basketball ability, sportsmanship, attitude, and commitment of players and parents. Parents must be willing
to work all tournaments hosted by Henderson. PLAYERS must play in 6 games to be eligible.
13- We need parent volunteers to do the scorebook and scoreboard for the games. Please volunteer.
14- In order to encourage team play, a point limit has been set: 8-13 league 25 point unless the lead
is less than 15 points.
15- No admission for regular season. Admission will be charged for tournament games.
16- If school is cancelled or let out early for weather, practice will be cancelled. That does not include SAT. games.
