Adding the Firewall Exception for the Scanner Utility
1. Open the Control Panel (Start Menu ‐> Control Panel)

2. Depending on your view, your Control Panel window will look like this, or the
picture on the next page.
a. In this view, choose the Security Center, and then Windows Firewall.

3. Choose the Exceptions Tab, and then the Add Program button.

Choose the Scanner File Utility, and then click OK.

Now the Scanner File Utility Exception should appear, and you can choose OK.
