and will scan and filter your E-mail*. The filtered and scanned E-mail will
be deliverd to your regular mailbox.
Step 1: CleanPort creates your account

ate your account. On the subscription form you have supplied us with a
username and a password. After creation of your ac¬count you can use
these to sign-in as the domain administrator. We will set all settings to
default val¬ues, which is suitable for most users. So it will most likely not
be necessary for you to sign-in immediately and change settings to get the
service working prop¬erly. Nevertheless you can adjust all settings according to your wishes at any time.
Step 2: CleanPort informs you
Step 6: (optional) Scanning your outbound Email
To also scan your domain’s outbound e-mail you have to point your outbound mail server (or the mail client(s)) to send through the CleanPort
SMTP tower appointed to you.
Outbound SMTP server:
smtp.nl.cleanport.com
CleanPort reports to you when your account has been created. This will
most likely be prior to the moment you will receive this document. At that

de¬scribed in the following steps.
Step 3: Safety and firewall
Make sure your smtp mail server only accepts e-mail from CleanPort. This
can be done through set¬tings in your firewall or mail servers. Change
your firewall or mail server to only allow incom¬ing mail (for the subscribed
domain) from these IP numbers:
212.79.242.192 - 212.79.242.255
193.28.13.0 - 193.28.13.255
Step 4: DNS
To activate the scanning and filtering of your incom¬ing e-mail your have to
change the MX-set¬tings in your DNS server. The MX records have to point
to the CleanPort-tower appointed to you.
MX settings:
mail1.cleanport.nl - priority 10
mail2.cleanport.nl - priority 20
* Make sure that there is not still a defined priority below 10 for the settings of the MX-records since otherwise your organisation’s E-mail will not
be scanned and filtered by CleanPort.
