Activity ideas for different learning styles – VAK Which activities will suit visual, audio or kinaesthetic learners best? Can you adapt the activities so they work for all types of learners, give a choice of approaches or ensure all learning styles are covered in the session? Ask the young people to campaign (write a letter or press release, go to see an influential person, demonstrate...) Make something creative in the session (junk, fabric, natural materials...) Play a game as a team, individual or class (board game or PE type game) A written competition or quiz (individual or in groups) Ask the young people to carry out a survey (of people, in their school, in the local area...) Show a powerpoint, video clip, youtube clip or a film Set a challenge in class or to do at home (e.g. to walk to school at least once next week, to turn the class computer off...)
