Please, refer to the manpage for more info.
6.To check whether the application is configured properly, use the tools provided in the
directory /opt/OV/install/tools/cpq
cpqchksnmp checks for SNMP connectivity with the given node and
given community string.
cpqchkagnt checks if the SNMP master agent & the Compaq agents
are active on the given node.
Usage : cpqchkagnt [-n nodename ...] [-f
filename]
nodename : Hostname/IP-Address of node.
filename : Name of file with list of
Hostnames/IP-Addresses .
The -n & -f options are mutually exclusive.
cpqcheck checks for
Valid values in the environment variables
Presence of all the configuration files required by the application
Syntax of all the configuration files
Authorization of the package
Presence of all the registration files required by application
The above checks can be carried out independently by using the following tools
instead of cpqcheck:

Monitoring the Compaq Insight Manager Nodes
1.Start the Network Node Manager GUI.
/opt/OV/bin/ovw
2.Select the required nodes or subsystems.
3.Select the Monitor -> Compaq -> Status Update option.
Discovering the Compaq Insight Manager Nodes
1.Start the Network Node Manager GUI.
/opt/OV/bin/ovw
2.Select the required nodes on the segment submap.
Select the Monitor -> Compaq -> Discover option. Adding a CIM node as an
External Events Node
For ITO to display the CIM alerts in the message browser a node must appear in the
ITO node bank. This node must also be made part of the CIM Node Group. If this is
not done then SNMP traps that have been generated by CIM nodes will not be seen.
Additionally, each CIM node will need to have hpux08 as a trap destination in their
SNMP configuration.
In the ITO Node Bank select Actions -> Node -> Add Node for External Events.
