SAUL LANDAU
author | filmmaker | lecturer
The Center for Iberian and Latin American Studies invites
you to meet IPS Fellow Saul Landau. He will be discussing
his film titled: WE DON'T PLAY GOLF HERE – and other
stories of globalization. Using Mexico as an example of
what the Third World has experienced, filmmaker Saul
Landau shows how foreign investments in export factories
distort both the culture and environment. Its exquisite
photography, elegant editing, and original music probe the
essence of the new economic disorder.
Saul Landau is an internationally-known scholar, author, commentator, and filmmaker on foreign
and domestic policy issues. Landau has produced over forty films on social, political and historical
issues, and worldwide human rights, for which he won the Letelier-Moffitt Human Rights Award,
