Sun shine in victory over Dream
Three players scored in double digits and six players in total scored baskets for the Sun
as they topped the Dream 39-15 on Saturday afternoon.
Molly Reynolds (12 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 5 steals), Kaylee Juliano (10 points, 2
rebounds, 1 assist) and Annabelle Day (10 points, 9 rebounds, 4 steals) did the bulk of the
scoring for the Sun as they jumped out to an 18-0 lead by halftime.
The Dream pulled things together and found a rhythm on offense, scoring 15 points in
the second half, thanks to the sharp shooting of Gabriella Cashion (7 points, 5 rebounds, 1
steal) and Maggie Shiesley (4 points, 8 rebounds, 5 steals) who helped cut the deficit. Lily
Brennan (2 points, 8 rebounds, 1 steal) got into the mix, grabbing a rebound and putting it back
in for the basket. Despite the great success of the Dream in the second half; their first half hole
was too deep to climb out of as the Sun ran away with the 39-15 victory. In the win, Hannah
Bozek made a basket and made a free throw. Paige Cress and Amber Gambino both added
baskets while Meredith Roberts added a steal. In the losing effort, Kenadi Butcher played great
on defense, pulling down a pair of rebounds and adding 2 steals. Juliana Hacker and Avery
Janowsky each grabbed a rebound.
