All financial members are able to accumulate points in the CDKC
Championship at each eligible race meeting.
Points are awarded across 7 championship rounds as advised in the CDKC
race calendar.
The driver’s best 6 rounds for the year will be recorded for their Corrected
Points over the 12 month calendar. This gives the members the ability to drop
or miss one round whilst still having the ability to compete in the championship.
Should a draw of points occur in the corrected points at the end of the season,
the member with the most points overall will be considered the winner of that
championship.
Points will be awarded as per the table on this site and encourages competitors
to be part of a well attended class.
For a member to be eligible for the class championship, each driver must
dedicate one FULL day's work to the club. Parents, friends or guardians may
work on behalf of any driver by simply nominating their efforts to the driver when
completing their duties. The recognition of one days work will be at the sole
discretion of the Club President and a deadline of October 30 shall apply.
Individuals may work on more than one day and may work on behalf of more
than one driver. Competitors must have competed in at least one round of the
class to be eligible for a placing in that class. E.g. a Senior completing a FULL
days work to the club will be eligible for all senior classes, however they must
have raced at least one of the championship rounds to be eligible for a placing
in that championship.
A club member's sign on sheet is kept in the race secretary’s office. Please
sign on and this will establish your work day. The driver and class must be
clearly stated when signing on or will not be considered eligible. There will be
NO qualification awarded unless this sheet is signed.
Class Championship Trophies will be presented to the top 3 places in each
class at the December race meeting. Club Champion trophies will also be
presented to best placed Senior, Junior and Cadet Drivers.
Provided the class qualifies as a Championship class in accordance with point
8, all points will count regardless of the number of starters in the race.
Where there are less than 5 starters in a race 50% of the normally allocated
points will be allocated to each driver for both the Class and Club
Championships as per the points table.
