28th November 2016 Dear Parents and Players, With Netball becoming an increasingly popular sport both locally and internationally, Thenneh Conteh has been supporting Evo Netball to help develop our players and grow the sport across Qatar, especially with our U10, U12, U14 and U16 groups. Thenneh is a Scottish Netballer and has been playing for 15 years. She has developed her skills through the Scottish talent programme and has represented Scotland at U17, U19, U21 and Senior Level. Following on from her work with the talented Netballers in Qatar, Thenneh will be offering 3 specialist Netball Clinics that will run in December. These workshops are aimed at all age groups and are focused on developing the knowledge and skill of both new netballers and those with a little more experience. The aim of these Netball Clinics is to focus is on individual player development by ensuring core netball skills and tactics are taught in a challenging environment. The Clinic timings will be as follows: Tuesday 13th December - U19 Workshop - 15:00- 16:30 Attacking and Shooting - 16:30- 18:00 Defence Wednesday 14th December - U14 & U16 Workshop - 15:00- 16:30 Attacking and Shooting - 16:30- 18:00 Defence Thursday 15th December – U10 & U12 Workshop - 15:00- 16:30 Attacking and Shooting - 16:30- 18:00 Defence The sessions will include a short break between topics and include a small game. Workshops cost 150 QAR per day. There is a limited number of places per session and these will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Payment can be made directly to Miss Price and must be made in cash and placed in a labelled envelope with your child’s full name and age group. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop netball skills and aid the growth of this increasingly popular sport. Parents are responsible for providing transport to and from Doha Rugby Club on the date of the clinic. Please be aware that this is not a Nord Anglia school event and is ran separately by Evo Netball. Handing in your envelope does not necessarily guarantee your place, but you will be informed via WhatsApp if you child has a place or not.
