Elementary basketball starts with
practice on Sat., Dec. 1 and runs all the
way to March 9 which is the last game.
Practices & Games:
3rd-4th Grade practices will be
Tuesdays from
5:00-6:30/6:30-8:00 at Frk. Elem. School.
Saturday practices will be
9:00a.m.-10:30 a.m. at the 7th
gym at the Jr. High (YMCA side).
5th-6th Grade practices will be
Thursdays from
5:00-6:30/6:30-8:00 at Frk. Elem. School.
Saturday practices will be
10:30a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the 7th
gym at the Jr. High (YMCA side).
All games will be played in the 7th-8th
grade at the Jr. High (YMCA side)
Game start times will vary, but will always
run from 9:00a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Practices are important! Please try to
make every effort to be at your practice.
At practice you will work on and develop
basketball skills, as well as have time to
work with your team to prepare for the game.
Due to inclement weather, coaches will call
players.
Cancellations will also be posted on the
district website's main page under Athletics
as soon as possible.
Elementary Basketball Program:
Hollidaysburg Elementary Basketball
will teach fundamentals,
attitude, enthusiasm, and respect
needed to play Golden Tiger basketball.
Parent Volunteers:
Once teams are picked, interested parents
will become the coaches of the teams.
Drills and skills will be introduced and
taught at practices, then players will go
with their coaches to practice the
drills and skills as a team.
Parent volunteers are very important to
having a successful program.
A solid commitment will be needed.

This is a fundamentals based program.
Players at all levels will benefit.
No prior basketball experience needed.
Monthly calendars will be distributed and posted
to the website with practice/game times,
monthly events, and locations.

Waiver Release:
I confirm that my child's health meets medical
standards to participate in a basketball program.
I understand that basketball is a sport and injuries
may occur. HAHS and the Hollidaysburg
Boys' Basketball Staff do not assume
responsibility for accidents/injuries or other
expenses that may result from the training and
participation in the Golden Tiger Elementary
Basketball program. I give my permission and
approval for my son's) to participate in the Golden
Tiger Elementary Basketball program. In the event
of an injury, and if I cannot be contacted at the
phone number listed, I give the Hollidaysburg
Basketball Staff permission to act on my behalf in
securing emergency medical attention to my son(s)
from a licensed physician or hospital should the
need arise.
