Facility Management (Stirling Oval Facilities) Objective To manage the Stirling Oval facilities (buildings and oval) hired from the Adelaide Hills Council for the MLDFC Modified Football Program for U8 through to U11 matches to ensure a high standard of safety and presentation for matches, training, events and other activities conducted form time to time To provide support to the Junior Football Committee members to ensure the efficient operation of the Club Responsibilities The tasks required include to: 1. Sweep all floors, remove rubbish 2. Leave Room Tidy 3. Turn off: lights, and any appliances used. B. Oval rubbish collection Rubbish collection is required following the completion of all home matches. Gloves are available for use (Where). The tasks required include to: 1. Pick up loose rubbish and place in large green rubbish bins from all areas of the Reserve, ensure playground and other areas are also completed. C. Shared room cleaning Cleaning is required for the shared room with other sports using the facility: 1. The Thursday prior to a home match, following the completion of training & team selection 2. After a home match The tasks required include to: 1. Sweep Floors, remove all rubbish. 2. Leave room tidy. JOB DESCRIPTIONS Undertake tasks at the request of the Junior Coordinator or Junior Football Committee Liaising and establishing close relationship with Property Officer/ Property and Building Management Adelaide Hills Council [ph 84080563, W www.ahc.sa.gov.au] for the proper management of the oval, oval maintenance and improvements, and maintaining or addressing safety issues in accordance with current hire. Currently the AHC Building Management Officer is Nick Taarnby, t: 08 8408 0506 | f: 08 8389 7440 | e: [email protected] | Identify and form a close relationship with the local ward member of the Adelaide Hills Council and identify local Community members having links with Government (Local member for Heysen, Federal Member for Mayo, government members living in the district , etc) to assist with identifying improvements needed for the facility- Liaise with the Club’s Improvements and Grants Officer to enable activities needed to commence. Maintain the cleanliness and prevention of damage whilst using the facilities hired for the Modified Football program Obtain on bond the necessary keys for padlocks and nominated buildings keylocks (Oval Flood lights; Equipment storeroom, Toilets and Players Change rooms) Prior to the season commencing meet with the Property Officer/ Property and Building Management Adelaide Hills Council on site to ensure that facilities are already in a good condition and know what areas MLDFC are responsible for to keep clean and tidy. The Public Toilets at the oval must always be locked after training sessions and completing the last game. NOTE: Council must cleanup any mess/issue prior to MLDFC using Storeroom and Shared Facility so that MLDFC can then maintain to the agreed standard Ensure the following cleaning works are managed for completing prior to a home game/after a home game: A. Change rooms Cleaning is required: 1. The Thursday prior to a home match, following the completion of training 2. After a home match 3. D. Turn off: lights, and any appliances used. Public Toilets The tasks required are to: 1. Unlock and must lock re-lock Toilets after use for training night or on Saturday/Friday night game – check for damage upon opening and when re-locking facility. 2. Promptly report any damage found to the Toilet Block and circumstances to the AHC Building Management Officer.
