Daves Creek Chess Camp Overview: Winning strategies is our focus for the Championship Chess Camp for
children who know how to play. Championship Chess coaches will help players develop new openings that
set up an aggressive line of attack, keep the advantage with sound tactics in the middle game and play
advanced endgames for the win. Campers will sharpen their skills and strategies with play, expert game
analysis, and supportive video and interactive game software. They will win prizes for solving chess and logic
puzzles and completing skills based on the “Chess for Success” achievement cards. The week will culminate
with a camp chess tournament complete with trophies and awards – a great way to get ready to compete in
future regional, state and national tournaments.
