Entry fee will $250 and 1 dozen Diamond D-1 baseballs. Please make checks payable Desoto
Baseball Booster Club, P.O. Box 971, Desoto, Texas, 75115. If our booster club is not on your
vendor list please contact Larry Davis, Athletic Director, 700 Eagle Dr. Desoto, Texas 75115 or
972-274-8118 ext. 221 and he can provide the vendor information
There will be a 1 hour and 50 minute time limit on all games with no inning starting after 1 hour
and 40 minutes. The Championship game on Saturday will have no time limit.
Run rules will be in effect for the tournament. 15 runs after 3 innings and 10 runs after 4
innings.
Tie-breakers are most runners to third, followed by runners to second, then finally runners to
first. In the event they are all tied, a coin flip will determine the winner.
A coin flip before the game will determine the home team. The home team will be in the Third
base dugout. Desoto will be the home team in all of their games.
Official book will be kept by the home team. A lineup will need to be provided to the official
score keeper.
There will be 30 minutes to warm up between games while the field is being prepped, unless we
are behind schedule and that time could be reduced. There is a field off the right field line that
can be used to warmup.
No infield will be taken in between games.
Each team will be given time to use the cages before their games.
I was given the opportunity to be the Head Baseball Coach at Desoto High School and many of the
commitments to this tournament were made last year. Consequently, we have a ten team bracket.
I tried to accommodate everyone on start times and the number of games you will get to play. I hope
this gives everyone an opportunity to play a lot of games.
A concession stand will be open with meal deals available for teams. There will also be a hospitality
room available for coaches.
