Fouling is a daily issue for manufacturers of UHT milk products. Deposits of denatured
proteins and minerals rapidly develop on the surface of the heat exchanger, causing pressure
build-up in the system and reducing heat transfer.

downtime as an inevitable consequence.

A pilot-scale trial with condensed UHT milk has illustrated the ability of FoodPro® Cleanline to optimise UHT processing. Repeated six
times, the trial showed that the enzymated process could run for more than twice as long between cleaning cycles, recording a 40-45%
reduction in organic material in the cleaning water.
Full scale production trials showed that fresh and recombined UHT milk treated with FoodPro® Cleanline was generally able to run 45 to
50% longer than control without enzyme.
