Dear Parents/Carers
This will be the last newsletter before
Easter and I can’t believe how quick this
term has flown. I have included a
few reminders in this newsletter to ensure
all of our Easter celebrations go to plan,
thank you for your support with this.
Reading in unusual places
I am pleased to announce the winner of
this completion was Louise from F2 who
was photographed reading to her lambs.
Her prize was Fairtrade vouchers to
spend at the school shop.
Egg Rolling
This year the children will once again
take part in an egg rolling competition
here at school on Thurs 10th April from
2.00pm. You are as usual very welcome to
attend and watch. A big thank you to Ms
Plowman for kindly donating the eggs and
there will be opportunities for children
to decorate these in school before the
competition which we hope weather
depending will be outside at the front of
school this year. The F1 / F2 children will
also be parading wearing their Easter
bonnets / hats. Please could these
children make their hats at home and
bring them in to school on Thurs 10th
April, all F1’s are welcome to attend from
2.00pm if they are not in school that
afternoon.
The PTFA will also be selling teas,
coffees and cakes and other fundraising
activities.

The school website is now up and running
with more content to be added over the
coming weeks. I urge you to have a look if
you haven’t done so. It includes a
calendar, copies of the newsletters,
policies and information to name but a
few. It also celebrates activities that
have taken place in school with lots of
photos so please check it out.
E-safety Training
We have been able to secure some esafety training from Andy Nunn who
previously worked for the Local
Authority. This will take place on Thurs
8th May at 3.00pm. I have booked this to
coincide with Film club, if you wish to
come to the meeting but your child does
not normally come to Film club please let
Mrs Boyes or Mrs Donaldson know if you
would like a place on this occasion. They
will be watching a ‘u’ film to enable
younger children to attend.

I write in response to the concerns about
the entrance to school and the use of the
front and not the back. After talking to
Governors who were involved in the
original decision making, we will continue
to use the front of school as this was
recommended by safety officers and
followed OFSTED guidance. I will though
get in touch with the highways
department at County Hall to ask for
further advice.

Come along and knit a square/s towards
‘Fields of Frodingham’
A rich, vibrant patchwork blanket to
reflect the surrounding fields and big
wide sky.
Your square can be plain knit, funky or
traditional.
The completed blanket will be sold and
the proceeds given to

£2.00 per session to cover costs.
