HELP LOCAL RESIDENTS WITH DISABILITIES OR OTHER CHALLENGES
BY DONATING DURING BOSTON STORE’S GOODWILL SALE
Goodwill and the Bon-Ton family of stores encourage residents to help area individuals with disabilities or
other challenges by donating clothing, shoes, accessories (e.g, jewelry, belts, scarves, hats), luggage and
blankets and other household linens during the semi-annual Goodwill Sale.
For every item donated to Goodwill, donors will receive at least one coupon good for up to 25 percent off
on nearly every Boston Store purchase made from March 9 through March 26. It is a great opportunity to
save on Boston Store brands and goods that rarely (if ever) go on sale and help Goodwill generate the
revenue it needs to provide life-changing services for individuals with disabilities or other challenges.
Residents can receive their coupons by dropping off donations at any Goodwill Industries of South Central
Wisconsin donation center, now through March 26. Starting March 9, donations can also be dropped off at
the East Towne or West Towne Boston Store in Madison. On the opening day of the sale, March 9,
residents will receive bonus coupons for each item donated at Boston Store.
Information about each store’s hours of operation is available at (608) 241-2111 (East Towne) and (608)
833-9799 (West Towne). A list of Goodwill donation center locations and hours is available at
www.goodwillscwi.org or by calling (608) 246-3140.
Goodwill provides supportive housing, employment services and other assistance to local residents with
disabilities or other challenges. Eighty-one percent of its revenue is generated through the sale of donated
goods.
“The Goodwill Sale is a wonderful opportunity for residents to help change the lives of those in our
community who are facing challenges,” said Maureen Roche, Goodwill Industries of South Central
Wisconsin’s director of marketing and development. “The sale also makes it possible for individuals to do
their part to reduce what is placed in our landfills and to give others an opportunity to buy quality items at
incredibly low prices through Goodwill stores and the auction site, shopgoodwillmadison.com.”
