COMPETITION BREIFING THURSDAY 24th AUGUST @ 6.00pm
EX-ROYAL NAVALMENS CLUB KAWERAU
COMPETITION COMMENCES FRIDAY 25th AUGUST @ 5.00am
FINAL WEIGH IN SUNDAY 27th AUGUST @ 3.00pm

1.
This event/competition does not give any competitor any right to hunt on private or managed lands. Any reported
conduct of illegal hunting or fishing activities will be investigated by the Committee and if proven, the competitor will
be disqualified and may be liable for prosecution by the land owner.
2.
Land base competition: Hunting, no flying into hunting grounds by helicopter or fixed wing. Fishing, surf casting from
the beach, wharf or riverbank with a surfcasting rod or hand line ONLY. NO floating or submersible devices to be used.
3.
NEW RULE: One animal, per ticket, per section.
4.
Minimum weights and sizes: Deer-45kgs, Pig-40kgs, Snapper-30cms minimum length.
5.
No samba deer or domesticated farm deer, pigs or fish accepted.
6.
WEIGH IN TIMES:

THE BIG 3 SUNDAY 27 AUGUST 10am – 3pm
No game will be weighed in after the above times unless you are in a queue and have reported to the official weigh in
master prior to the deadline.
7.
In the event of two deer, pigs and fish with the same weight, then prizes will be allocated to the person who weighed
their animal in first/earliest on the day.
8.
No barrows.
9.
All boars to have nuts in and all stags to have nuts and pizzel in when weighed.
10. All fish to have guts and gills removed and all offal must be removed from the pigs and deer at time of weigh in.
11. All official wrist bands must be worn and presented to the weigh master at the weigh station.
The Kawerau Big 3 Organisers accept no liability for any damage or loss of property or injury.
12. No dogs are to be let loose on or around the event venue.
13. No game is to be frozen prior to weigh in.
14. JUDGES DECISIONS ARE FINAL.

The event organisers would like to remind all participants that this event will be held on the licensed premises of the Kawerau
Ex-Royal Navalmens Club.
All club rules must be obeyed at all times.
DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES IS 7.30PM ON THURSDAY 24th AUGUST AT THE COMPETION BRIEFING.
