The project is development of state of the art
Automated Milk Conversion Plants (Powder Plants-2
Nos) each 100 MT capacity per day which includes

investment outlay of Rs. 325 Crore for each Plant.
The project is proposed to be implemented under a
public private partnership (PPP) model at two
locations in two phases.

Dharawad District in 2nd Phase.

Powdered milk is a manufactured dairy product made
by evaporating milk to dryness. One purpose of
drying milk is to preserve it; milk powder has a far
longer shelf life than liquid milk and does not need to
be refrigerated, due to its low moisture content.
Another purpose is to reduce its bulk for economy of
transportation.

A Maize Technology Park is proposed to be
developed at Agricultural Produce Market Committee

Integrated Machine Tool Industry Park at NIMZ. Tumakuru. NIMZ

district. Tumakuru and Sira talukas lie towards the North of the
district and National highway – 4 passes through these talukas. The
site lies about 80 km to the North-West of the State capital,
Bengaluru (from the Outer Ring Road) and about 20 km to the
North-West of Tumakuru City.

The individual components amenable viable for PPP will be
examined & taken up during implementation.
Tumakuru is one of the nearest town to Bengaluru.
Tumakuru is already a hub of industrial activity with the presence

industries such as Automobile, Engineering, Aerospace, Textile
etc., are situated in brownfield area. Considering the conducive
environment for manufacturing sector, resources available &
connectivity (NH and railway line), NIMZ is being developed at
Vasanthanarasapura. About 542 acres of land has been earmarked
for development of Integrated Machine Tool Industry Park (IMTP)
at the third Phase in NIMZ, Tumakuru.

Government of India intends to develop the Peninsular Region
Industrial Development (PRIDe) Corridor as a development strategy to
accelerate regional economic integration and development, including
giving impetus to manufacturing. The proposed Chennai-BengaluruChitradurga Industrial Corridor forms phase-1 and Bengaluru- Mumbai
Economic Corridor forms phase-2 of the PRIDe Corridor and is a very
important link in the Golden Quadrilateral. Planned development of the
corridor would further accelerate the economies of the region.

These corridors assume a prime position in the overall development of
India as one of the key contributors to the economies of South India
and Karnataka in particular. Trunk gas pipeline from Dhabol to

place along these corridors (Bengaluru, Tumakuru, Chithradurga,
Dharawada, Belagavi, etc).Major nodes as industrial townships will be
developed.

Draft Perspective Plan for Bengaluru Mumbai Economic Corridor

Fishermen will get better price for their fish catch.

forests and undisturbed idyllic islands, long historical
and cultural tradition of architecture, theatre and
performing arts, could be a high potential tourist
destination for cruise tourists. Karnataka's coastline
called Karavali, stretches 320 km in length and 48 –
64 km wide between Mangalore in Dakshina Kannada
district and Karwar in Uttara Kannada district. North
Karnataka has 160 km of coastline while 98 km is in
Udupi and the rest in South Karnataka . Karnataka has

‘Caravan Park’ is a facility developed for parking of
Caravans in allotted spaces and includes other
amenities. The caravan park proposed to be developed
in an area of at least two acres and include at least five
parking bays. Each parking bay should be provided

solid waste outlet services. Landscaping and
plantation should be an integral part of a caravan park.
Open recreation space of not less than 5% of the total
site area, strategically located in relation to the
caravan parks and roads to ensure safety of children
with respect to vehicular movement shall be provided.

TADADI IN KUMTA TALUK
The port at Tadadi could form a gateway for trade in the
Bellary – Hospet region. As a result, it has been proposed
to develop an all-weather multipurpose sea port at Tadadi.
Capacity of 34.25 MTPA (ultimate capacity 62.36 MTPA)
to be created at Tadadi. Present infrastructure of Fair
weather lighterage port with a light house structure, an
RCC jetty to be augmented to all-weather multipurpose
standards.
The port is located in the estuary of the Aghanashini
River, at Tadadi Village in Kumata Taluk of Uttara
Kannada District

The northern part of the state, namely Bellary, Hospet,
Raichur, etc would form the effective hinterland for the
port. Hence a port in this region would enhance the trade
and development. Project Structure The project is to be
implemented on Design Build Finance Operate Transfer

serving its everyday shopping needs. They exist for multiple

increase surrounding property values, historic preservation,
etc.
