Here the seed is mixed with the air stream and then conveyed through the diffuser tube in the distributor. From the distribution head the seed is conveyed, after the random principle, through the seed delivery hoses to the coulters. Seed rates from 2 - 380kg/ha (cereals, peas, beans, rape, grass ...) Infinite adjustment of the seed rate by means of calibration screw and scale setting, without any need for tools Normal seeds: cereals, peas, beans etc. Fine seeds: rape, mustard, grass etc. The Metering Device Enclosed metering cell wheel • Any desired seed rate from 2 - 380 kg/ha (cereals, peas, beans, rape, grass etc.) can be metered. • Only 1 metering device is required for up to 40 coulters. • Differences in metering accuracy are +/- 1% for diagonal and length wise inclination (F.A.T. CH (University of Switzerland)). • Due to the conical hopper design sowing is possible up to residual quantities of only 500 g. • The adjustment from normal seed to fine seed (e.g. rape) is easily done without any need for tools (no special insert for beans necessary). Sealed by the top brush A rape brush for fine seeds constantly cleans the cells when the fine seed fingers are engaged Sealed by rubber lip Retention of the dressing is ensured by the use of a very short agitator shaft Metering Device and Distribution System Sealed by rubber lip Normal Seeding Micro metering Standard and Combination Tramline Shut Off Valves • Seed return to the hopper: • Combi Valves allow the seed from the closed track during tramlining to be returned to the seed hopper. Even when the hopper is full. • Edge row effect: • The seed from the blocked valve is distributed to the adjacent rows Combi-valves (return to tank) It is possible to combine both types of valve to achieve edge row effect and seed return. Combi-Valves (line to coulter) * Not availbale for DF Manual half-width shut-off • Seeding on half working width needed for relevant tramline rhythms • By: • Shut down insert of half-width shut-off system • Adjustment to micro metering • No opening of the distributor, no change of the distribution head • Easy to retrofit Wide choice of Seed Coulters CX Disc Coulter CX-II Coulter with press wheel (42mm) CX Disc Coulter with small press wheel 26mm Suffolk coulter CX Disc Coulter with wide press wheel 65mm Suffolk coulter with ceramic tip CX Disc Coulter • Convex Steel Disc • Forms a narrow and consolidated furrow • Enables higher working speed by narrow profile • Achieves good depth control by expanded profile • Flexible Plastic Disc • Keeps the furrow open for an exact seed placement • Cleans the steel disc in the contacted zone • Prevents sticking and blocking of the discs On the basis of these specific features, the CXDisc coulters achieve exact seed placing under both wet and dry mulch seeding conditions. CX Disc Coulters – Press Wheels CX-Disc Coulter without Press Wheel • • • • For wet and dry conditions For light and heavy soils For conventional seeding (ploughed seedbed) For mulch seeding CX-Disc Coulter with Press Wheel • For light, medium, and dry conditions • Improved seed/soil contact • Moisture capillary action (e.g. rape, rye) • Quick adjustment with 7-step selector • Easy to remove for wet conditions CX-II coulter • • • • • • • • • Large-dimensioned casted iron coulter arm with high professional bearings, well-proven Maintenance-free no greasing points due to long life bearing protection Coulter pressure: up to 35 kg Disc cutting angle: 5,4 ° Steel disc: Ø 325 mm x 3mm Flex disc: Ø 250 mm Series press wheel: Ø 250 mm x 42 mm Row staggering: 445 mm Depth adjustment: by bolt CX-II coulter Performance- keeping the seeding depth CX-II disc with flexible press wheel setting Seeding depth okay seeding depth okay seeding depth too deep seeding depth okay Flexible press wheel: Leaving the requested seeding depth only once when facing obstacles in the field.
