ESSENTIAL MINIMUM CRITERIA

A PhD in Computer Science or a closely related discipline

Teaching experience, or potential, demonstrating both commitment and success in effective and inspirational participation
in the teaching program of the school
Ability to significantly contribute to the teaching and administration of subjects (including curriculum development) within
the range of subjects offered by the school
Ability to significantly contribute to world class research within a research area of strength within the School of Computer
Science
High level of oral and written communication skills in English

DESIRABLE CHARACTERISTICS

A research area that aligns with existing strengths of the school and/or with research groups at the university external to
the school. Existing strengths include computer vision, computer graphics, image processing, pattern recognition,
software architecture, distributed systems, software engineering, evolutionary computation, business intelligence,
computer science education, high performance computing systems and networks, web services, pervasive computing,
sensor networks
Ability to contribute to the promotion of computer science to the wider community
