For the last three years Julia has played volleyball. In seasons past, she has played different positions but has now focused on setting. There is no doubt that Julia loves the game. Julia believes the best thing about playing volleyball is “knowing all the hard work is worth it in the end.” Last year as a freshman, Julia was the starting setter and named Captain for her Shaler Area School District’s Junior Varsity team. At the conclusion of her freshman year high school season, she was named the Most Improved Player by her coaches. Julia joins Pitt United Girls Volleyball Club this year but is not a stranger to club volleyball. Her knowledge of the game, natural athleticism and her willingness to lead the court and run a strong offense, Julia was asked to participate on Pitt United’s 16s team being moved up from the 15s age bracket.
