Last modified 14.12.15 1 Application for Verification Candidates are advised to read the Cardiff Metropolitan University Verification Procedure before completing this form. This procedure is applicable to: (i) Candidates on programmes leading to initial degrees, diplomas and certificates of Cardiff Metropolitan University (or, if applicable, of the University of Wales), those following either of the stages (examination and dissertation) of a taught Master’s degree, Postgraduate Diploma or Postgraduate Certificate scheme of study, or PGCE, and those who have completed the examination component of a Doctoral Degree by Examination and Thesis (Professional Doctorate). (ii) Candidates on programmes lying within the University’s Edexcel University Licence, and those on a range of other programmes at Cardiff Metropolitan University (but see exclusions below). The following are excluded from the University’s Verification Procedure: (i) Candidates for Postgraduate Research Degrees (PhD and MPhil), or who have completed the thesis component of a Doctoral Degree by Examination and Thesis (Professional Doctorate), who should refer to the appeals procedure in the Research Degree Regulations. (ii) Candidates on programmes for which appeals must be referred to the particular awarding body include those associated with WJEC, ACCA, CIB, CIM, C&G, and NEBSM. For advice in these instances, reference should be made in the first instance to the University Academic Registry. Applications for Verification must be sent only to the Academic Registry (Ref: Appeals), Cardiff Metropolitan University, Llandaff Campus, Western Avenue, Cardiff, CF5 2YB (or by email to [email protected]), to arrive no later than fourteen days from the date of the notification of results by the School.
