Youth Sports Programming 2016/17 SONOMA COUNTY FAMILY YMCA The Y nurtures the potential of children through the YMCA’s Youth Sports programming by strengthening character in our youth, engaging families, and building lasting relationships. Participants in these programs build skills, learn about teamwork, focus on sportsmanship, and develop healthy lifestyle habits. TRACK & FIELD I CAN GO THE DISTANCE! AGES: Co-Ed 7-12 PRACTICES: Saturdays, October 1st, 8th, and 15th, 1:00PM-2:30PM. TRACK MEET: Saturday, October 22nd, 1:00PM-3:00PM EVENTS: Discus, Shot-Put, Hurdles, 50M Dash, 400M, Long-Jump, & more! COST: Facility Members $35 / Program Members $50 / Non-Members $65 JUNIOR WARRIORS BASKETBALL TEAM WORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK! DIVISIONS: Co-Ed 6/7, 8/9 Girls 10/11, 12/13, 14/15 Boys 10/11, 12/13, 14/15 PRACTICES: One 1-hour practice per week Monday-Friday from 6:00PM-9:00PM beginning November 1st. GAMES: Winter Jamboree to be held on Saturday November 15th. 8 Game season will be held on Saturdays beginning November 19th and ending February 4th. JR WARRIORS: Reversible Golden State Warriors Jersey, Warriors Headband, & more! COST: Facility Members $60 / Program Members $80 / Non-Members $100 COACHES: All YMCA Basketball teams need a volunteer coach.
