THE STU POWERS UNION STEWARD AWARD
Local Union No. 647 has created a ‘UNION STEWARD AWARD” and every
year the Local will recognize the value and contributions of one outstanding
UNION STEWARD.
The Award is named after one of the longest serving presidents of our Local
Union, Brother Stewart Powers.
Stewart Powers exemplified Union dedication and Trade Unionism, and now
every Labour Day our Local Union Executive Board selects one Steward who
has demonstrated excellence in trade unionism every year.
All rank and file members can nominate Stewards who have displayed the
above characteristics by filling out the attached form and faxing or mailing it
to the Union office.
Please nominate a Steward before August 31, 2016 (see attached nomination
sheet).
