Commitment, and Belief. I will show respect to all with whom I come in contact. I will
commit to this program and its goals. I will believe in my coaches, teammates, and
myself. All of my conversation about this program will be positive. I am an
Arkadelphia Football Player. I believe in Vicious, Violent, and Relentless play between
the whistles. I will play the game of football viciously and violently, the way it is meant
to be played. I will be relentless in the way approach the practice and game field every
day. We will be the classiest and most violent team in the state.

4. Behavior—Accountability to our Creed
a. Tardies—20 burpees for class tardies
b. ISS—Per day 50 burpees
c. OSS—meeting with Head Coach 1st offense
i. 2nd offense possible dismissal from the team
d. Cussing—3 burpees on the spot disciplined reminder
5. Positive Talk by Parents: Job
Our goal as a staff is to make this place (Arkadelphia Football Program) a winner. A winner
to us means that regardless of what year, what athletes, who gets injured, how many players
we have out, we successfully compete at a high level. This means that we win and compete
for conference championships. This means year in and year out, we make the playoffs, go
deep in the playoffs, and/or win a state championship. In order to do this our staff must have
your support
a. Be positive about our program in your communication with your sons, your
community, and all others with whom you communicate—A House divided will
not stand.
b. Encourage your son to find his role on the team and execute his role.
c. Find ways to be supportive of the program and its goals.
6. Guidelines for Interaction with our Coaching Staff and Football
Program (All interactions with parents will be positive)—We
want the best possible scenario for Our Team and Your Son

Things parents ARE NOT encouraged to discuss with coaches:
i. Placement on teams
ii. Playing time
iii. Coaching strategies
iv. Other athletes
When and if a problem should arise:
i. The athlete and the coach should attempt to resolve the problem first
ii. If the problem cannot be resolved, then the parent should be involved
When and if you would like to discuss an issue YOU MUST:
i. Make an appointment
ii. Appointment at least 48 hrs after a contest
When practicing or competing parents should have no contact with players, unless
the trainer deems it necessary because of injury. This means:
i. No parents on the sideline during practice, competitions, or games
ii. During practice, competitions, and or games you are encouraged to be
positive and vocal in your support of our players
iii. Please be aware that it is a distraction when you coach or degrade your son
during a practice or a competition. Please refrain from these actions
All of the interactions that our staff has with parents should be positive
Always remember that we are on the same team.
7. Recruiting and Your Son—The first thing evaluated is your son’s
grades by a college coach
a. The ultimate goal is for your son to get a degree
