Hospital pharmacists required to participate in research Do you know where your responsibilities start and end when you’re providing patient care? Would you like to take part in research that seeks to gain consensus on pharmacist responsibilities when providing care to inpatients? What is the study about? Current hospital pharmacy standards do not specify individual hospital pharmacist responsibilities for providing care to patients. It is also known variation exists in the activity of hospital pharmacists at ward level. This research aims to address the ambiguity around individual hospital pharmacist responsibilities, and aims to generate a consensus opinion on the minimum of level pharmaceutical care which must be provided to every newly admitted medical patient. What participation in the study involves Completion of up to three rounds of email questionnaires between July-September 2017 Each questionnaire will take no longer than 45 minutes to complete Results of the study will be shared with participants. It is envisaged that there will be a great deal of interest in participating in this study – make sure you express an interest by 21/7/17, as there are a finite number of participant spots available. This is an excellent opportunity for you to have your say on what the responsibilities of hospital pharmacists should be when delivering care to acute patients. **Participants who complete the research will be entered into a prize draw to win one of three £25 amazon vouchers** To find out more information about this study please contact Ffion Hawkins (lead researcher) via: Phone: 01443 443146 email: [email protected] or [email protected]
