organisations work together with families who
are pregnant and mums, dads and carers to
support;

Parenting Courses
Longsight Children’s Centre works together
with local families and other organisations to
run courses with the aim of supporting mums,
dads and carers to share and learn new skills.
You can talk with a member of the Children’s
Centre Team to find out when the next course
is starting and if it is the right course for you.
Internet Access
The reception area internet facility is free of
charge for Longsight families to access
information you may need or job search. If you
would like to use a computer please ask at
reception.
Information Hub

There is
the centre for families who are pregnant and or
have young children. Please call in and have
a look what is available. If you cannot see what
you need, just ask at reception.

Services with a star are term time
only - pick up your school holiday planner from
reception, or we can be email it to you.
Services with a sun have a crèche.
Your children can play and learn in a safe place
whilst you access this service. Crèche places are
limited so please book your place.

Stay and Play
1:00pm – 2:30pm
Play and learn together with your child and get
ready for school!
Time for you Crèche
9.30am-11.30am
A six weekly crèche service for children whilst
their mums, dads and carers access services
and support their need. Please talk with your
support worker, health visitor or a Children’s
Centre team member to apply for your place.
To ensure children’s safety & quality services
places are limited. Please phone the centre on
Monday morning to book your child’s place.
We Offer WellComm Screening to all children
who attend the session, please speak to an
outreach worker for more information.
Healthy Child Drop in with
Information & Play
1.30 – 2.30pm
Receive support and information you need,
Talk with the health team and weigh your baby.
Parent Survival Course (CAP’s)
12.30-3.30 pm
15 week sessions for mums, dads and carers of
children 2-4 years who want to learn positive
parenting strategies. Talk with a member of the
Children’s Centre team or contact CAP’s on 0161 701

and development sessions.

Getting To Know My Community ( At LCP)

It's aimed at helping and supporting local
parents in finding out what’s going on in the
community and to encourage them accessing
local services. Also it involves trip out to
museum, using transport to explore the
community etc.

in one or all services.
Supporting you.... We work together with
Self Help Services to offer support for people
experiencing common difficulties such as depression,
anxiety and low mood. You can talk to your GP,
