Teams will practice right after school. Coaches will hand out a schedule at the first team meeting/practice. The boys' season will run from Jan. 4 to roughly Feb. 25 Games: Transportation: All Games Start at 3:45 p.m. Games will be held after school at 3:45 p.m., and end at approximately 5;45 p.m. (away games may be later because students will be returning from another site). Teams will play two games back to back with an 'A' game and 'B' game. The 'B' team will play first on Mondays & Tuesdays and the 'A' team will play first on Wednesdays - Fridays. Game days will vary throughout the week, depending on the league schedule. Team members will receive a game schedule from the coach. Equipment: Transportation for games only. There will be no other transportation. Register Early! Teams may fill before deadline. They will practice at Park HS Oct. 28 - Nov. 12. Nov. 16 - Jan 7 they will practice at OMS. CGMS/OMS will have their home meets at Oltman MS. New this year, Lake and Woodbury will practice and have their meets at their own respective schools. Coaches will distribute a schedule at the first team meeting/practice. The season will run from Oct. 28 to Jan. 9. Meets: Meets will be held after school at 3:45 p.m. The matches will end at approximately 6:00 p.m. (away meets may be later because students will be coming from another site). There is NO activity bus after practice. Equipment: Equipment usage is included in the participation fee. Students are responsible for their own athletic shoes and athletic supporter. Buses will take students to their away meets and back again to the middle school. Parents are responsible for their child's transportation home from the middle school after all meets. Academic Eligibility Policy for winter Sports Community Education sponsors 7th & 8th grade Middle School Athletics. (Includes 6th graders for golf, running club, ski club, and competitive track and wrestling.) The Community Education Middle School Athletic Program provides the middle school student with the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of seasonal sports. These programs emphasize skill development and team play. Students will be instructed in the fundamentals of the sport and will participate in an appropriate number of games with surrounding schools. Any student not passing a class at the end of a grading period will be placed on probabtion. Physical Exam All participants must have a sports physical exam on file at their school in order to participate in athletics. Physical forms can be found at www.cecool.com under MS Athletics. PLEASE REGISTER EARLY! •Once a team fills, additional registrants will be put on a wait list in the order received. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. •Registrations are taken through Community Education ONLY. (See Ways to Register at right.) •Do not register at your middle school. • Registration is complete when the fee is paid. •Confirmation letters will be sent either by letter or email. If you do not receive one within seven days, please call 651458-6624. teams are complete, students will receive an eligibility form from their coach that MUST be signed and returned to the coach before they will be allowed to participate. •Once REFUND POLICY • Community Education will be responsible to communicate cancellation information only to those registrants who give both a work and home phone number. • All fees will be returned if a course is cancelled due to insufficient enrollment. • If you cancel BEFORE one week prior to the start date, a $10 processing fee will be deducted from your refund. • If you cancel within ONE WEEK prior to the start date, or the first week of practice, we will withhold a $10 processing fee and refund 75% of the remaining payment. • If you cancel during the second week of practice, we will withhold a $10 per course processing fee and refund 50% of the remaining payment. • Make checks payable to Community Education. Checks returned for insufficient funds are subject to a $25 service charge. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN AFTER THE SECOND WEEK OF PRACTICE, NO EXCEPTIONS. Ways to Register Transportation Information Community Education makes every effort to insure timely transportation to and from school games. However, due to a shortage of bus drivers and bus supply, some games could be delayed or canceled. Please call Todd Feustel at 651-425-6606 if you have any questions.
