When your students in grades K-3 participate in the WHUT PBS KIDS Writers Contest they not
only build literacy skills and engage their imaginations, they are also entered to win local and
national prizes. Additionally, you can enter your class in the PBS KIDS Classroom
Sweepstakes for a chance to win one of two libraries of Arthur® books and a visit from PBS
KIDS own Arthur!
Here are the details for student entry into the WHUT PBS KIDS Writers Contest:






The contest is open to kids in Kindergarten through 3rd grade

Make sure to send each student entry along with a unique entry form to WHUT, 2222
Fourth St NW, Washington, DC, 20059 by the contest deadline: April 17, 2015
Make sure your students include your classroom information on the entry form to give
your classroom credit for the entry – national first-place winners will also win prizes for
their classrooms
Local winners will be notified by May 1,2015
National winners will be notified on or about June 27, 2015
