Welcome to Johns Creek United Methodist Church Preschool and Parents Morning Out (PMO)
programs. The PMO program is for children who will be eight months of age through twenty three
months by September 1, 2017. The Preschool program is for children who will be two, three or four
years of age by September 1, 2017. The Kindergarten program is for children who will be five by
September 1, 2017. If you have additional questions after reading this brochure please contact

Registration-PMO, Preschool and Kindergarten
Applications for JCUMC members/currently enrolled students and siblings of those
currently enrolled will be accepted until Friday, January 20, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
All other applications will be accepted until Friday, February 3, 2017. After this initial
placement, registration is on-going based on availability.
All children must be immunized and provide a copy of current immunization record
(GA3231) by the first day of school, Wednesday, August 23, 2017.

Complete both sides of the enclosed application. Submit the form by returning in your
child’s folder, by dropping off with the church receptionist, preschool office or mailing to
JCUMC Preschool, 11180 Medlock Bridge Road, Johns Creek, GA 30097.

If you are a currently enrolled family using Tuition Express your registration fee(s) will be
processed automatically in mid-February. If you do not use or want Tuition Express charged,
attach your registration fee of $175 and $125 for any sibling enrolling in the same school year
for PMO, Preschool or Kindergarten. If your child is assigned to a class you have
requested, this payment is NON-REFUNDABLE. If your child’s name is not drawn and
placed on the waiting list, this payment will be returned to you.

Applications are drawn randomly for placement in a class. Once classes are full, the
remaining children are placed on the waiting list. Children on the PMO and Preschool
waiting list are randomly drawn to fill vacant spots as they become available. Kindergarten
children are placed on the waiting list in the order they are drawn.

You will be notified in writing within 15 business days after your deadline regarding your
child’s placement.
PMO and Preschool General Information
Registration fee:
$175 first child; $125 each additional child
Due with application
Your last month’s tuition is due by June 1, 2017 and is non-refundable. September (and partial
August) 2017 tuition is due by August 15, 2017. Beginning October, tuition will be due by the first
of each month, October-April. Once school is in session, written notice to the director 30 days in
advance of withdrawal is required to receive a refund.
Prepaid tuition for Young Five’s is not refundable at any time.
The annual activity fee will be billed with your October tuition. This fee covers fall festivals,
mom’s and dad’s days, parent Christmas gifts, photo processing, 2’s Down on the Farm, 3’s Field Day,
4’s/Young 5’s Olympics, Art in the Park, Graduation, and special events and programs.

For the safety of all children, if a child is not walking at the start of school, he/she may be placed in

Children attend P.E. and Me, music and library story time once a week and Chapel every other week. Three,
four and young five year old classes participate in “Jump Start Art” and “Shopping Cart Science” on a monthly
basis. Children enjoy a number of special events and programs throughout the school year.

Upon receipt of acceptance letter, one month’s tuition will be due. Your last month’s tuition is due

PMO/Preschool Plus Programs
PMO Lil’ Ladybugs ~This class meets most Fridays for children who are walking-23 months
and do not attend a PMO class two days a week. The children enjoy music, movement,
storytime, indoor and outdoor playground, snack and lunch.
Marvelous Mondays/Fun Fridays ~ These classes are an option for preschool children who
are not enrolled in a class on Mondays or Fridays. Registration begins in August for these
classes in the first semester and again in December for the second semester. These extra
special days follow our regular 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. preschool hours. Marvelous
Mondays/Fun Fridays provide those children not attending school on these days a fun
filled day with friends. The cost is $40 per day.
After School Enrichment Programs
Classes are offered from 1:45-2:30 pm through private companies at JCUMC for 3 and 4’s,
Young Five’s and Kindergarteners . Offerings include Bricks for Kids, Creative Movement
and Dance (ballet and tap), Letter Bugs (literacy), Lil’ All-star Sports, little BLAST
Science, Music for Little Mozarts, Spanish and Yoga. Contact information is available
through JCUMC or the preschool. These classes offer your child a wonderful opportunity
to enjoy new activities and learn new skills.
MISSION
The mission at Johns Creek UMC PMO, Preschool and Kindergarten is to provide a program in a warm,
loving Christ centered environment which promotes emotional, intellectual, physical, social and spiritual
growth.
Johns Creek UMC PMO, Preschool and Kindergarten have been granted an exemption from licensing by
the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning, Bright from the Start.
Johns Creek United Methodist Church Preschool is a member of the Georgia Preschool
Association. We are certified by the North Georgia United Methodist Preschool Association
as a
“Preschool of Excellence for Young Children”
