We will meet by the water fountain near the shallow end of the pool at 1 pm. Bring sunscreen and a towel. We will have a light snack and a cool beverage available. Bring a beach ball if you would like and we will provide the sand toys. July 21st Lunch and Park Jefferson School 11:30am-1:30pm Free We will meet under the Jefferson School canopy and walk in together. We’ll eat lunch at the school and then play on the playground. They serve lunch promptly, so be sure to be on time. (Cost for anyone over 18 to eat is $3.60) July 28 th Swimming Flaundrau Pool 1-3pm Free Can’t wait to splish and splash! Tuesday Activities July 1st 4th of July Craft 1-3PM Community Center Room 15 th We are crafting up some 4 of July rocket themed mobiles, come join us to make your own festive decoration. July 8th MUGS! 1-3PM Community Center Room 15 Decorating ceramic mugs. Make one for yourself or others. All supplies will be provided. RSVP by July 2nd Cost is $2 July 15th BINGO 1-3 PM Community Center Room 15 Come one, come all. Prizes Prizes Prizes!!!! Fun new patterns. Hanging out in the air conditioning! July 22nd Sibley Park Trip 11-4PM Meet at Community Center We’ll meet at the Community Center then take off to Mankato by 11:15, we will caravan over (contact Cat if needing ride coordination). As a group we’ll make a craft, feed some animals, take a few pictures, eat a sack lunch, and play some games! Remember to bring bug spray and sunscreen, as well as a sack lunch. Bring pocket money if you want to. We’ll be back to New Ulm by 4. July 29th Karaoke 1-3PM Community Center Room 15 Once again, we’ll sing for TWO FULL HOURS! Concerts in the Park (Monday nights) 7pm German Park FREE Bring a blanket or a chair, and come sit with some friends while we listen to the music. ARS will purchase a water and popcorn for participants who check in. Come early to find a good spot! *** There will be NO music in the park on July 28th as it is National Night out at Brown County Fair Grounds Mankato Moondogs vs. Rochester Honkers July16th Meet at “The Frank” $12 Moondogs game starts at 7:05. Your ticket cost includes a hotdog, pop, your ticket, AND a baseball cap! How cool! Meet in the Franklin Rogers Park parking lot at 6:15 so we can all get in and have time to walk around before the game starts. RSVP and money due by July 10th. Hot Dog Roast Herman Heights Shelter #2 July 26th at 6pm $3 ARS will provide hotdogs, salads, and chips. We’ll have some board games and yard games to play as well. Please bring your own beverage. RSVP by July 23. Cost is $3 Boppin’ Bodies (Thursday Afternoons) Keeping active in the summer time … July 3rd- Yard Games at Community Center July 10th- Open Gym: Come play hoops, ride the scooter boards, hoola hoop, or have other misc fun in the air conditioning! th July 17 - Bowling at Concordia Lanes, meet at 1 pm to begin on time. Ramp/bumpers provided if needed. July 24th-Yard Games at Community Center. We will enjoy the outdoors and have a blast!!!! st July 31 -Basketball: we have rented the court and we would love to see you come play *Boppin’ Bodies is a FREE activity. * Looking ahead… Twins vs. Royals August 16th 6:10pm Game $40 It’s Twins Time again! The Twins need the money turned in 3 weeks in advance, therefore the early RSVP. Be sure to RSVP right away as there are only 48 spots available and they go FAST. We will meet at 2:15pm at the Community Center and stop at Culvers in Shakopee on the way up to grab something to eat. Feel free to bring money for souvenirs and food at the game as well. Movies will be played on the bus on the way up and back. Snacks will be provided for the drive home. RSVP and money due by July 22nd. *Rob Swanson, our Boy Scout friend, is moving up to the Cities. Since we have not had anyone enroll, and they haven’t found a replacement for Rob yet, we are going to replace the Scout events with other events.
