Classroom Scavenger Hunt

Station #1
Welcome to Ms. West’s Room!
• There are some days that we may meet in other parts
of the building or need special supplies. You can always
check for this information by looking at the signs by the
door.
• As soon as you walk in, make sure that you read the
agenda for the day. Always check here for “No Name”
papers if you’re missing a grade you know that you
turned in.
-You should always copy your HW in your agenda!
• Come into the room and immediately look at the
projector screen. Ms. West will have a COUNTDOWN
waiting for you with important directions for you to
complete.
Station #2 Bathroom/locker
• We will take a bathroom break during Yellow and
Blue class.
• Unless it is an emergency, please wait until we
are working on independent work if you need to
go during another class period. You will need to
write a pass in your agenda and bring me the
behavior card to stamp.
• If you need to go to your locker for anything, you
must bring me your agenda to stamp. If you
don’t have any passes left, then you will not be
permitted to go.
Station #3: The Classroom Library
• These shelves are filled with books that I loved as a middle
school student, and some that others have recommended
to me.
• I want you to borrow them and love them, too! You need to
check them out if you want to take a book out of the
classroom.
• There is a flowered box where you can find blank index
cards. Take one out and write your first and last name at
the top. When you have chosen a book you want to check
out, write the title and author on the first line. Once you
have done this, place the index card in the grey box.
• When you finish the book, drop it in the purple crate beside
the bookshelf. I will check the book back in for you. Next
time you check out a book, find your index card again and
add the title and author on the next available line.
• Have a seat on the floor and take a look at some of the
books.
Station #4: The Front Bulletin Board
• This board is full of useful information for everyday.
• There are several calendars with important dates listed. In
the bottom left corner, you can find all homework
assignments listed for the week. Check here if you were
absent one day. The calendar in the center of the board
will list upcoming assignments for the current month. The
calendar to the right will show you the current date.
• Thinking Notes-This is a simple strategy that we can use in
any class when we read a piece of text.
• Turning in work-Fold paper in hotdog style. Write your last
name, date, and period in the top right corner. Turn into
the appropriate colored bucket found below the smart
board.

ertrail

what it looks like to meet Ms.
West’s expectations and write a
summary of your discussion on
your sheet and fill in the charts
about your class ideals.
