• 5% rebate* on purchases made to replenish
preparedness inventory.
• Recycling and other disposal options — Program
participants will be given information regarding product
recycling, disposal options at waste-to-energy facilities as
well as possible product donation alternatives. Please see

inventory management tool that helps support proactive
inventory management, while helping to reduce your time
required to manage potential product waste.

To participate in this unique, money-saving program, contact your
3M sales representative, who will guide you through the application
process. Your representative will help you determine the quantity
and replenishment schedule that best meets your needs, complete
your replacement stock order from an authorized distributor, and
provide information regarding sustainable disposal options to handle
your expired or nearly-expired inventory. Your rebate check will be
processed and sent directly to you (typically within 90 days).

impact of expired inventory
Disposable respirators, like most personal
protective equipment (PPE), have a limited
shelf life. Over time, straps, nosefoam,
staples and the filter media itself can
begin to degrade, ultimately reducing
the level of protection to the wearer.
Because 3M is continually and
proactively working to ensure that
users of our PPE products receive
products capable of delivering the
highest possible levels of protection,
several years ago we began to include
shelf life dates — based on accelerated
aging and real time testing — on all our
disposable NIOSH respirator packaging.
