Behavioral and Experimental Economics Lab Group WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU? Three major expectations: Ask for help if you are stuck. Be accountable for your work. If you are done with something, ask what you can do next. Suggestions: I don’t care what hours you work as long as you are responsive to emails and get your work done (Sometimes the Grad RA will set hours for you) You may find that getting work done is easier if you set hours for yourself. You can come in to the office to work (arrange with the Grad RA) You will get out of this internship what you put into it – the more you work the greater will be your responsibilities. This includes learning new skills, good recommendation letters, etc. WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM THE BEE LAB? How you will benefit from working with us: You will learn how to run laboratory and field experiments, what the results mean, and how to come up with ideas for new projects. You will learn why we do research in behavioral and experimental economics, through presentations during our meetings and by guided reading of the relevant literature You will get CITI Human subjects certification You will learn how to work in a group Other things you can learn: ZTree programming (there is a manual) STATA (online links we can send you) What you can expect from me: If you do a great job in the lab, I will do my best to write you a great recommendation for graduate school. I am happy to give you advice about graduate school anytime, just ask
